About your tutor:
Dr Leanne Dodd is a university lecturer in creative writing, an appointed mentor with Queensland Writers Centre,
and is also qualified in writing and art therapy. Under the pen name of Lea Scott, she has published three indie
crime thrillers featuring traumatised characters. Her latest novel was longlisted for the 2018 Richell Prize with Hachette.

In this online course designed just for beginners like you, learn to voice your own story using images, video and a short personalised script. Digital Storytelling is creative and flexible, and reflects the way our modern society is engaged in the process of meaning-making, through a multi-modal, multi-platform, co-creative and collaborative work.
You will be guided through:
development of a personalised 250-word script
selection of visual materials including basic images and video
audio editing using free downloadable software
final production of your story in a digital format you can share it on various forms of media.

Elena Volkova is a transmedia storytelling practitioner who has designed an innovative narrative-based artistic practice
that offers a range of services to assist in building resilient and sustainable peer support communities. She is qualified in
literary studies and radio journalism and her area of practice includes creative life story writing, digital storytelling, and
oral history practice.
